Luke Gough

Biography

Luke began his career in recruitment in 2011, when he joined a boutique firm in London that specialised in finance and accounting. In early 2016, he moved to Sydney, Australia, to establish an international office This was a great opportunity for him to expand the firm globally. He specialised in governance, specifically compliance, risk, and audit/IT audit, and successfully grew and managed a team, making the office a great success.

In 2023, he worked with SSR Personnel on several regional projects and the idea was born for him to represent the SSR brand with links to our Dubai office with his appointment as Director of SSR Personnel – Australia. Luke also maintains his specialist practice, Avidity Recruitment, providing recruitment in Security risk, Cyber Security, Financial Crime, Compliance and Risk Management. He is also the Regional Advisor for The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) for Australia and New Zealand.           

Before recruitment, Luke was a golf professional for six years and in 2007 he became a fully qualified PGA golf professional after completing the three-year PGA degree course, attached to the University of Birmingham. In 2009 he moved to the Island of Madeira where he was the head golf professional at one of the golf resorts on the Island. Do reach out if you are passing through the territories.
