The Role
The VP Global Security is a key executive leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive security strategies and protocols across all aspects of the organization's manufacturing and corporate operations on a global scale. You will lead a team of security professionals to safeguard the company's assets, personnel, and reputation, against a wide range of internal and external threats.
This is a greenfield opportunity to develop a global security program. You will offer strategic leadership to deliver:
- Scope and communicate a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for global security operations aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate security considerations into business processes, projects, and initiatives.
- Identify areas of improvement and value frameworks for the business.
- Direct and manage all aspects of physical security, including facility protection, access control, and surveillance systems.
- Develop and maintain crisis management and incident response plans to effectively address security incidents, emergencies, and disruptions.
- Develop a corporate standards policy and localised audits of company locations.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security risks and threats to the organization.
- Direct an intelligence programme that recognizes regional threats and works with General Managers and assists them with localised issues.
The Person - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Criminal justice, Business Administration), advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in security leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing security strategies and programs at a global level.
- Experienced in managing and planning budgets.
- In-depth knowledge of physical security, cybersecurity, risk management, and crisis management principles and practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Experience working in multinational corporations or complex organizational environments.
- Strong ethical compass and commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all aspects of security operations.
